Our new eco-friendly packaging for our Economy Class earphones uses a recyclable Kraft paper envelope, replacing single-use plastic PET foil. This one change should help us eliminate 6.48 tonnes of non-recyclable waste material each year, an amount which equates to saving an estimated 110 trees from deforestation or conserving 207,360 litres of water.

We have replaced the plastic used to wrap blankets and mattresses in our premium cabins with an eco-friendlier paper-based alternative, resulting in the reduction of up to 21.6 tonnes of plastic per year. We are also working to do the same with our Economy Class blankets, representing another significant reduction in plastic across our flights!

We’re working hard to reduce the usage of plastic water bottles and cuplets on our flights. On certain routes we’ve already achieved up to 50% reduction and we’re expanding this effort across our network.
